By downloading, installing, or using the Base Layer application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Description of Service
Base Layer is a fitness and training application that integrates with Apple HealthKit to provide daily readiness scoring, adaptive AI-generated training plans, guided workouts, AI coaching, and capability tracking. The App is available for iPhone and Apple Watch.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using Base Layer, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
User Accounts
Core features of the App may be used without creating an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account.
Subscriptions & Payments
Base Layer offers a free tier and a Pro subscription ($4.99/month). All new users receive a 10-day free trial of Pro features.
- Payment is charged through your Apple ID account
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Use the App to collect or harvest data from other users
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or its content
Health & Fitness Disclaimer
Base Layer is designed to support your training and fitness goals. However, the App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program or making changes to your training. You use the App's recommendations, readiness scores, and coaching insights at your own risk.
AI-Generated Content
The App uses artificial intelligence to generate training plans, coaching insights, and readiness assessments. AI-generated content is for informational purposes only. Results may vary and the AI may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete suggestions. Always use your own judgment when following any training recommendation.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App — including text, graphics, logos, icons, workout programs, and software — are the exclusive property of Base Layer and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Base Layer and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to injury, loss of data, or loss of profits.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Base Layer and its creators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
Governing Law
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
